Tanya Saadé Zeenny is a prominent figure in the global shipping industry, serving as the Executive Officer of the CMA CGM Group and President of the CMA CGM Foundation. A graduate of the American Business School in Paris, Tanya joined CMA CGM in 1995, where she established the Corporate Communications department, marking the beginning of a distinguished career within the company.
Over the years, Tanya has held several key positions, demonstrating her leadership and commitment to corporate social responsibility. She became Vice-President of the CMA CGM Foundation in 2005 and later served as Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Her responsibilities expanded to encompass Group Administration and Infrastructure Management before she took on the role of Group Corporate Secretary in 2011. In 2014, she was appointed Executive Officer of CMA CGM, where she has significantly shaped the company’s public image, driven by family values of passion, solidarity, and responsibility.
As President of the CMA CGM Foundation, Tanya is dedicated to addressing critical social challenges, particularly in education and humanitarian aid. Under her leadership, the Foundation has supported over 350 initiatives, collaborating closely with major NGOs such as UNICEF and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) as well as local governments.
Tanya is also a champion for gender equality within the transportation and logistics sector. In 2018, she launched the “We Are Shipping” initiative, the first program aimed at promoting female leadership in this traditionally male-dominated industry. This initiative continues with her sponsorship of the inaugural class of “WE – Women Empowerment,” further advocating for women’s leadership within the CMA CGM Group.
Recognized for her contributions to society, Tanya Saadé Zeenny is a Chevalier of the French Légion d’Honneur and a member of the French National Order of Merit. As the daughter of the late Jacques Saadé, founder of CMA CGM, she plays a vital role in the family business, jointly leading the company alongside her siblings, Rodolphe and Jacques Jr., and her mother, Naïla.
