Early Life:

Richard Branson was born on July 18, 1950, in Shamley Green, Surrey, England, to Edward “Ted” Branson, a barrister, and Eve, a ballet dancer and flight attendant. At the age of 15, Branson ventured into entrepreneurship by founding the magazine “Student” with funds acquired from his mother. Despite facing challenges due to dyslexia, he dropped out of school to focus on the magazine. When Student faced financial difficulties, Branson founded Virgin Mail Order Records, marking the inception of the Virgin brand.

Early Career and Failures:

In 1973, at the age of 23, Branson opened his first Virgin Records store in London. Over the years, he expanded his ventures to include Virgin Atlantic Airways, Virgin Trains, Virgin Mobile, and numerous other ventures spanning industries from music to space tourism. Despite notable successes, Branson experienced failures such as Virgin Cola, Virgin Brides, and Virgin Cars.
