Laurent Saint-Martin

Early Life and Education
Laurent Saint-Martin was born on 22 June 1985 in Toulouse, France. He studied at EDHEC Business School, specializing in corporate finance. His professional journey began at Oséo before transitioning to Bpifrance in 2013, where he contributed to the newly formed public investment bank. In 2016, he joined Euronext as Director of Initial Public Offerings and corporate relations in France.

Entry into Politics
Originally a member of the Socialist Party from 2009 to 2012, Saint-Martin entered mainstream politics in 2016 when he joined La République En Marche! (later renamed Renaissance).

In the 2017 French legislative elections, he was elected as Deputy for the 3rd constituency of Val-de-Marne, succeeding Roger-Gérard Schwartzenberg. In the National Assembly, he served as Vice-Chair of the Finance Committee and later became Rapporteur General of the Budget in 2020. His role during the COVID-19 crisis was instrumental in ensuring fiscal measures supported French citizens, businesses, and local governments effectively.

During his tenure in the National Assembly (2017–2022), Saint-Martin was actively involved in:

In January 2023, President Emmanuel Macron appointed Laurent Saint-Martin as Managing Director of Business France. Over 18 months, he spearheaded strategies to:
